Deepak Tijori is really a busy man. It''s only days before his directorial debut Oops! releases and the constant ringing of phones in the background is enough to let one know that promos for the film are full on.

"Oops!", he exclaims as he finishes answering a call, "It''s a very generic term that we use.
We say it when we make a mistake, or even when we take a wrong decision or spill coffee," Tijori laughs.

"The story of the film is fictional, although I have met many male strippers who make quite a living for themselves. It''s a well-knit society of women who keep having these shows with out any of their men around," he explains.

This film was made in 44 days at a budget of Rs 2.5 crore, which according to Deepak, was smooth sailing. "A lot of people are talking about how fast I made the film, but it''s just that my paper and pre-production work was well organised. My experience as a producer for television also helped me a lot," he explains.

All the actors, except Mita Vashist, are new-comers. "They were a little apprehensive about the characters they were playing, but a one-month acting workshop was enough to make them get into character," he adds.

Tijori has done many an odd job before making it as an actor. From selling space for a movie magazine, to being a front office manager at one of Mumbai''s hotels, life has taught him a lot.

"I am very observant and alert and things I saw in daily life helped me in the making of this film. My characters are believable and people can identify with them," he adds.

This is Tijori Inc''s first feature production. The censors did meet Tijori halfway on the film or as he says, "There wouldn''t really be any film left."

"The film was majorly cut thanks to the censors," he admits, "Many crude phrases we use in everyday life were cut. This might cause the film to lose some of its flavour."

Tijori is all excited and feels that this is a family movie. "It''s not a sex film, but a mature film for the entire family. It deals with moral values and emotions," he points out.

After Oops! Tijori will be producing two serials, one for Zee called 64 Panhe and other an untitled thriller. Oops! will premier in Pune on August 2.
